AUTODESK FUSION 360 AND INVENTOR
My projects include a basic Tesla Valve and more recently a Mechanical Cone Placer.
Learn moreThis is a Mechanical Cone Dropper i helped developed as part of a group project. Jamie Cotter (jjc96), Kushal Sharma (ks2330), Anthony Siow (awjs22), Josh Keenan (jjk62), Ben Parkin (blp37), Joseph Blackler (jdsb21)
Everyone on the team had submitted an initial concept drawing for what direction we thought the dropper head towards.
In the end the group decided to go with the design below for the final concept drawing ideas from each other:
Many problems arose as we went through the process from difficulties of power distribution from the battery to awkward transmission and timings and volume constraint issues. However, we overcame these step by step by systematically breaking the process down. The next phase of the process was to design a 3D model of the design on Inventor. The Final Product ended up being very different to the final concept drawing due to design constraints.
Over summer we have been on close contact with manufactures to ensure out parts are manufactured correctly and to our satisfaction. Once we return for Year 2 Semester 1 we will start the assembly process of our project. Some of the parts have been ordered from online stores, most of it is either 3D printed or laser cut.
