Kushal Sharma

About me

Growing up I enjoyed maths. From math homework at school to helping with my parents financing and budgeting, anytime I could get involved i would. My passion for maths and engineering finally collided when the 2015 Nepalese Earthquake had devasted my home country. I fell in love with the engineering of earthquake -resistant buildings which used features such as Tuned Mass Dampeners and Shock Absorbers. I decided to follow my passion by going on to study Mechanical Engineering.

Hobbies and Interests

My hobbies include programming, 3D CAD designing, Robotics and Computer Building. I also enjoy playing football, chess and gaming in my spare time.

Work Experience

Over summer I work part time as a waiter in my family run restaurant in Falmouth, Cornwall at Balti Curries. I also participated in a 5-week idesign Engineering Internship at A&P Falmouth, working with Design Engineers to experience the inner workings of Cruise and Naval Ships.

My Personal Projects

Over the years I have developed my design skills with 2D on AUTOCAD, 3D Modelling on SOLIDWORKS and AUTODESK INVENTOR. I also have programmed with languages such as HTML, Python and C/C++ on the Arduino IDE.
